Magna Music was founded in 2023 by Erwin Eestermans and Walter Poppelaars. Both had worked for many years at the well-known Muziekcentrum van Gorp, a specialist music retailer established in 1981 by Kees and Leonie van Gorp that became a household name in the Netherlands and Belgium. When Van Gorp closed its doors in 2023 following the founders' retirement, it left a gap in the region and in the Dutch and Flemish music world.
But the experts weren't done yet.
Driven by the belief that high-quality service, craftsmanship and personal guidance should never disappear, Erwin and Walter set out to build a new generation music store: Magna Music. Not a continuation of Van Gorp, but a modern, forward-thinking centre of expertise, built on decades of experience in a completely fresh guise.
In no time, Magna Music grew into a national and international destination. Every day we welcome customers from Brabant, Zeeland, North and South Holland, Limburg, Antwerp, East and West Flanders, and well beyond. Musicians make the trip to Roosendaal specifically for our unique combination of:
- specialist departments with independent testing rooms
- a large-scale XXL showroom with hundreds of instruments
- fully equipped in-house repair workshops
- a team of active musicians who think in solutions, not limitations
