Evans Onyx 16 inch drumhead for live playing
The Evans B16ONX2 Onyx is a 16 inch drumhead aimed at players who want durability and clear projection. The Onyx series uses two plies of 7.5mil film, giving this head extra strength and helping drums cut through in live situations.
The matte black Coated Black finish comes from the Frost coating. It gives the Evans Onyx drumhead its distinctive look and also increases low-end response and attack, so each hit comes across with a direct and powerful feel.

Its two-ply construction makes this Evans drumhead a strong choice when you need a head that can handle heavier playing. The combination of two 7.5mil plies and the Frost coating puts the focus on durability, a firm attack and extra emphasis in the low end.
