Denis Wick cornet mouthpiece with a traditional character
The Denis Wick DW5881-4W is a cornet mouthpiece aimed at players looking for a traditional cornet sound. The deep cup directly supports the sound direction stated in the product information.
With a cup diameter of 16.5 mm and a bore of 4.6 mm, this Denis Wick mouthpiece follows the stated dimensions of this model. The silver finish gives it its familiar look.
Wide rim for extra support
What sets the DW5881-4W apart is that it is the same as a 4, but with a wide rim. That rim thickness of 5.55 mm can feel comfortable if you want more contact area on the lips while playing cornet.
The combination of a deep cup shape and wide rim makes this cornet mouthpiece worth considering if you pay attention not only to size, but also to rim feel while playing.
