Elixir bass strings with Nanoweb Coating
The Elixir Nanoweb 14077 Medium is a set of roundwound bass guitar strings in nickel-plated steel. These bass strings use a Nanoweb Coating developed specifically for bass guitar, protecting the entire string with an ultra-thin layer so dirt is less likely to build up between the windings.
In practice, that gives you a smooth, natural feel and reduced finger squeak while playing. Elixir also describes a rich, rounded tone with more clarity, making these coated bass guitar strings a strong choice for players who want a clear and consistent sound from rehearsal to stage use.
Playing feel, response and string life
According to Elixir, the playing experience is further improved by optimized string tension profiles, flexibility and feel. That translates into responsive attack, even with a hard touch, while the strings still feel supple under your fingers.
A key advantage of these medium bass strings is their longer tone life compared with other bass strings without coating. That means fewer string changes, which is useful if you play regularly.
