Vox AC15 C1 guitar amp with classic VOX tone
The Vox AC15 C1 builds on a design that has been chosen by countless guitar players since 1958. This 15 watt combo amp uses a single 12 inch Celestion G12M Greenback speaker and gives you a wide tonal range, from clear VOX "chimey" sound to strong overdrive.
The tube layout with 3 x 12AX7 preamp tubes and 2 x EL84 output tubes helps define the character of this guitar amplifier. If you want an amp for shaping your sound at home or in the rehearsal room, the Vox AC15 C1 puts plenty of control within easy reach.
Two channels and detailed tone shaping
Within the Vox Custom Series, the AC15 C1 gives you two channels: Normal and Top-Boost. Each channel has its own volume control, while the Top Boost channel adds Treble and Bass controls for more precise sound shaping.
In the master section, Tone Cut and Master Volume work together with the channel volumes. Because the Tone Cut control works in the power stage rather than the preamp stage, you get an extra way to shape the top end and overall response of the amp.
Reverb, tremolo and external speaker options
The built-in VOX Classic Tremolo has adjustable speed and depth, so you can set it anywhere from subtle movement to a more obvious pulse. A warm spring reverb adds extra space to your guitar sound, and with an optional VOX VFS2 footswitch you can switch reverb and tremolo on or off while playing.
For expansion, the Vox AC15 C1 has a switchable 8/16 ohm output for an external speaker cabinet; using it mutes the internal speakers. There is also a second extension speaker jack for an extra 16 ohm cabinet alongside the internal speaker, giving you a fuller sound. At Magna Music, you can also get personal advice from musicians if you want to match this Vox combo to your setup.
