Martin D-12E dreadnought guitar for live, studio and home
The Martin D-12E is a D-14 fret dreadnought guitar from the Martin Road Series, built for players who want one instrument for practice at home, recording and amplified playing. Its glossy Sitka spruce top with sapele back and sides gives this acoustic-electric guitar an all-wood build, while the multi-stripe Style 28 rosette and Style 18 back purfling give it a distinct look.
Within the Road Series, the focus is on reliability and immediate ease of use. Martin includes a Premium Soft Shell Case with the D-12E, so it is easy to take along to rehearsals, the studio or the stage.
Construction, neck profile and electronics
The 25.4 inch scale length, 1 3/4 inch nut width, Performing Artist neck shape and High Performance Taper make the Martin D-12E appealing to players who prefer a modern neck layout. The FSC® Certified Richlite® fingerboard and bridge fit the practical approach of this model, together with a glossy finished top and body and a hand-rubbed neck finish.
For amplified use, this dreadnought has Fishman MX-T electronics with a built-in soundhole tuner. It automatically mutes the audio output while tuning, so you can make adjustments while plugged in without needing an extra pedal. The guitar comes factory-strung with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 (MA550T) 13-56 strings. At Magna Music, you can also get personal advice from guitar-playing staff in the shop and workshop.
