Martin D-28 Reimagined dreadnought acoustic guitar
The Martin D-28 Reimagined builds on a model that has been a long-standing reference in acoustic guitar design for decades. This dreadnought combines vintage details such as open geared tuners, an aged toner top, antique white accents and a faux tortoise pickguard with a modified "Low Oval Shape" neck and High-Performance Taper for a more modern playing feel.
The body uses a D-14 fret format and is made from all-solid wood. You get a Sitka Spruce top with East Indian Rosewood back and sides, finished in lacquer. The natural finish fits the classic character of the Martin D-28 Reimagined very well.
Construction and playing feel
Martin uses a traditional dovetail neck joint on this model, a neck connection long associated with the brand, together with a Forward-Shifted X-Brace and a non-scalloped brace shape. The 25.4" scale length and 1 3/4" nut width give you dimensions many players appreciate on a full-size steel-string acoustic guitar.
The updated neck profile makes this Martin more approachable if you want a classic model without an overtly traditional neck feel. If you need advice on setup or string choice, Magna Music can also help with staff who play guitar themselves.
Standard Series and expansion options
The Martin D-28 Reimagined is part of the Standard Series and is handmade in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. Within this series, solid wood construction, proven building methods and recognisable Martin details take centre stage.
Electronics are optional on this model. If you want the guitar prepared for amplified use, listed options include Fishman Gold Plus Natural I, Fishman Infinity Matrix, Fishman Presys Plus, Fishman Ellipse Matrix Blend and LR Baggs Anthem. From the factory, the guitar comes strung with Martin Authentic Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 (MA550T) 13-56, and this model is available in both right-handed and left-handed versions.
