Ibanez electric guitar with fast RG playability
The Ibanez RG Standard RG421-MOL Mahogany oil is an electric guitar with the familiar RG construction, aimed at direct playability and a straightforward fixed-bridge setup. The Wizard III maple neck has a slim profile with a thickness of 19 mm at the first fret and 21 mm at the twelfth, which works well for quick movement across the neck.
With a 648 mm / 25.5 inch scale, 24 jumbo frets and a 400 mmR fingerboard radius, this Ibanez RG gives you plenty of room for modern playing across the full range. The 43 mm nut width and 58 mm width at the 24th fret match the fast character the RG series is known for.
Construction, pickups and finish of the RG421-MOL
The body is made of meranti and paired with a jatoba fretboard with white dot inlays. The brown Mahogany oil finish gains extra contrast from the Cosmo Black hardware, while the F106 bridge with 10.5 mm string spacing provides a fixed and direct foundation.
For amplified sound, Ibanez uses two Quantum humbuckers with passive ceramic construction in the neck and bridge positions. This electric guitar comes factory tuned to 1E, 2B, 3G, 4D, 5A, 6E and is strung with D'Addario EXL110 strings in .010/.013/.017/.026/.036/.046. If you want advice on setup or string choice, Magna Music can also help with players on staff and an in-house workshop for instrument maintenance.
