If you want a compact tube guitar amp head with the familiar 6505 sound, the Peavey 6505 MH Mini Head brings that character in a small, portable format. Its all-tube preamp and power amp follow the gain structure and voicing of the legendary Peavey 6505, giving you a trusted foundation for high-gain guitar tones.
Two footswitchable channels share the same 3-band EQ, reverb and buffered effects loop. On the rhythm channel, crunch is also footswitchable, so you can move quickly between different gain settings while practicing, recording or playing on stage.
Connections and power control
The rear panel gives you modern connectivity that makes this mini head useful in different setups. The Peavey MSDI output with XLR and ground lift switch, USB output, headphone output and speaker mute make this guitar amp head suitable for direct recording and silent playing.
The built-in attenuator lets you choose between 20 watts, 5 watts or 1 watt of output power. An impedance switch supports 16 or 8 ohm cabinets, so the 6505 MH Mini Head works well with different speaker cabs.
Practical for everyday use
The tube complement consists of 2x EL84 power tubes and 3x 12AX7 / ECC83 preamp tubes. With T.S.I. tube monitoring, you can continuously see whether your power tubes are still in good condition and, if not, which ones need replacement.
