Pearl vintage drum kit with a modern foundation
The Pearl President Series Deluxe is a drum kit for drummers who want the look of a classic set while playing a kit built entirely in the present day. This re-issue for Pearl's 75th anniversary combines vintage looks, sound and feel with modern shells and modern hardware, without the shortcomings of true old kits.
As a shell pack, it includes a 20" x 14" bass drum, 12" x 8" tom and 14" x 14" floor tom including floor tom legs. Stands, snare drum, cymbals and drum throne are not included.
Warm drum sound and controlled feel
The President Series Deluxe is known for warm, deep and full tones with a controlled playing feel. Pearl uses 6-ply 7.5 mm Lauan shells here, a wood type that clearly contributes to the character of this kit.
All batter heads are Remo UT CS "Black Dot" heads. The bass drum has a Remo Smooth White Ambassador resonant head with the classic Pearl logo and 75th anniversary logo, reinforcing the old-school look of this drum kit.
Authentic Pearl President Series Deluxe details
In its finish and hardware, Pearl stays close to the original series. You get the "Battleship" lug, internal mufflers, "Gullwing" bass drum spurs, the original script logo and the classic bass drum logo. The Ripple finish from the authentic Delmar USA factory completes that visual style.
The set uses 2.3 mm Triple-Flanged SuperHoop 2 hoops and comes with a Pearl BDM-F muffling cushion, a felt strip and a certificate of authenticity celebrating Pearl's 75th anniversary.
