Meinl cajon with crispy snare response
The Meinl AETLLI Artisan Edition Cajon Tango Line Limba is built for players who want a direct, pronounced snare response. The Tango Line uses two groups of 3 pre-tuned metal micro-coiled snares for a special crispy effect. These snares are hand wound in the style of cajon builder José "Pepote" Hernández Diaz, giving this Meinl cajon a clearly defined character.
The 7-ply 9 mm Baltic Birch body produces a deep, full and punchy sound with projection, warmth and clarity. In practice, that means a solid bass response and clear articulation, helping this cajon perform well in acoustic settings, teaching rooms and on stage.
Construction, comfort and finish of the Tango Line cajon
This cajon is not just about sound, but also about playing comfort. Rounded corners, thumb notches on the front of the frontplate and an ergonomically shaped frontplate with convex contact make it more comfortable to play, especially during longer sessions. At the same time, the resonant body supports the overall sound development.
The Limba frontplate gives this version its own look within the Artisan Edition. The Meinl AETLLI also has special rubber feet and heat branding on the resonance body. With dimensions of 11 1/4" x 19" x 11 3/4", you get a cajon that stays compact while still offering plenty of sound and projection.
