Roland digital hi-hat with 14-inch playing surface
The Roland VH-14D is a digital hi-hat for electronic drums focused on expressive response and precise tracking. Its two-piece design with thin 14-inch pads gives you a familiar look and natural feel, while sensitivity, tonal variation, and the transition between open, half-open, and closed positions are tracked in high resolution.
You can play bow shots, edge shots, foot close, and foot splash with a wide dynamic range. Hand muting is also possible through the touch sensors, making the hi-hat behave more like an acoustic model in use.
Multi-sensor triggering and compatibility
The Roland VH-14D uses a multi-element sensor system with three bow sensors, an edge sensor, motion sensor, touch sensor, and built-in sensing processor. This allows speed, stick position, and pedal work to be captured with high precision, especially noticeable in subtle nuance and fast articulation.
This digital hi-hat connects via the DIGITAL TRIGGER OUT port and is intended for Roland drum sound modules equipped with DIGITAL TRIGGER IN. For the most complete VH-14D experience, use it with the TD-50X or a TD-50 with TD-50X upgrade. Standard TD-50 and TD-27 modules are also compatible through a free system update.
Mounting and included accessories
The VH-14D can be mounted on a traditional acoustic hi-hat stand, but it is supplied without a stand. Included in the box are the owner's manual, a clamp, three types of spacers, a connection cable, cable tie, and drum key.
With dimensions of 356 x 356 x 160 mm and a weight of 2.2 kg, this Roland hi-hat fits into a serious electronic drum setup for players who want to get more detail from their V-Drums kit. At our Roosendaal store, you can also count on practical advice from staff who play themselves.
