The top, back and sides are made from solid sapele, finished in brown satin. The body has a thinner build and a Comfort Edge, while the 24-inch scale length and 1 3/4-inch nut width contribute to an approachable playing feel.
The neck has a Dreadnought Junior shape with High Performance Taper, aimed at comfortable playing across the neck. Within the Junior Series, that also includes 1/4-inch scalloped bracing and pleked frets, details that support smooth playability. If you want to use this acoustic guitar amplified, the built-in Fishman Sonitone electronics make that straightforward. You can plug the Martin DJR-10E Streetmaster in easily for live use or recording, without adding an extra pickup.
The guitar comes factory-strung with Martin Retro Acoustic Guitar Strings (MM12) in 12-54. This model is available in both right-handed and left-handed versions.
