Taylor AD22e Grand Concert guitar with a compact feel
If you're looking for an acoustic-electric guitar with a more compact body and a clearly distinctive voice, the Taylor AD22e is a strong match. Within the American Dream series, this Grand Concert model focuses on solid woods, American craftsmanship, playability, and strong value.
The AD22e pairs a solid mahogany top with solid sapele back and sides. That tonewood combination gives this acoustic guitar bold, punchy mids, pleasing warmth, and a woody sound that suits the guitar’s rootsy vibe.
Build and playing comfort of the Taylor AD22e
Inside the body, V-Class® bracing supports the response of this smaller acoustic guitar. In practice, that means added volume and sustain while keeping the core character of the sapele and mahogany pairing clearly intact.
The 24-7/8" scale length gives your fretting hand a relaxed, slinky feel. Chamfered body edges and the familiar Taylor Neck make the Taylor AD22e comfortable for many different players. In Magna Music’s workshop, an acoustic guitar can also be professionally set up if you want it adjusted to your preference.
ES2 electronics and understated styling
This non-cutaway model keeps things intentionally simple, with black top purfling, a single-ring rosette, 4 mm Italian acrylic dot fretboard inlays, and a thin matte finish that preserves the natural feel of the wood. The brown finish fits that look well.
For amplified use, the Taylor AD22e comes with built-in ES2 electronics. You also get a brown AeroCase, offering reliable protection at roughly one-third the weight of a traditional hard case, practical for lessons, rehearsals, or gigs.
