Kawai DG-30 PE digital piano with grand piano look
If you want a digital piano that combines the appearance of a grand piano with a compact footprint, the Kawai DG-30 PE fits that role well. This Kawai features a modern grand design in polished black and remains notably space-friendly at 147.5 cm wide, 87 cm deep and 89 cm high.
The cabinet blends an elegant, traditional look with a modern polished black finish and silver hardware. With the lid open, the polished wooden soundboard and finished inner surfaces also stand out, giving the DG-30 PE the presence of a piece of furniture without overwhelming the room.
Authentic touch and concert grand sound
Inside, Kawai's Responsive Hammer III action works with 3-sensor technology, graded key weighting, Ivory Touch key surfaces and let-off simulation. This gives you a natural playing feel with solid control, especially in pianissimo, while structural reinforcements in the action add stability in fortissimo and staccato passages.
For its sound, the DG-30 PE uses carefully recorded tones from the Kawai SK-EX and EX concert grands, captured and reproduced key by key. The integrated reverb makes the result lively and realistic, while Virtual Technician lets you adjust details such as voicing, string resonance, damper resonance, damper noise and hammer noise. You also get additional sounds including Shigeru Kawai SK5 grand, Electric Grand, new electric pianos and harpsichord.
Connections, recording and practice
This digital grand piano offers practical functions for home use, lessons and daily playing. The lid can be opened in two positions with two props, where the longer prop lets the sound develop more fully into the room and the shorter prop gives a softer, slightly darker projection. The wide music rest is adjustable as well and can even be laid completely flat.
USB to Device allows storage to a USB stick and direct playback of MIDI files, MP3 and WAV, while you can also record your own playing in MP3 or WAV. Through USB to Host, MIDI, line-level outputs and Bluetooth MIDI, the Kawai DG-30 PE connects with a computer, smartphone or tablet; Bluetooth Audio lets music play directly through the speaker system. SHS adds more spatial depth when listening on headphones, and the lesson function with studies by Beyer, Czerny, Burgmüller and Alfred courses supports study and teaching. In our Roosendaal store, you can also count on advice from staff who play piano themselves.
