The Kawai Novus NV-5S PE is a hybrid piano that brings together tradition and modern technology. The Millennium III Hybrid piano action is based on the proven K-series action and works with 88-key graded ABS hammers, extended keys and the Integrated Hammer Sensing System with contactless optical sensors.
That construction gives you the playing feel of an acoustic premium instrument in a digital piano. Subtle touch differences, fast pianissimo passages and trills are registered accurately, while the real mechanical damper mechanism and the mechanical pedals with half-pedal on sustain convincingly recreate the interaction of keys, hands and feet.
Digital piano sound with SK-EX Rendering and Onkyo speakers
For its sound, the Novus NV-5S uses SK-EX Rendering sound generation, combining high-resolution multi-channel sampling of all 88 keys with resonance modelling. This creates a broader range of tonal character and more vivid changes during dynamic playing, inspired by the sound of a Shigeru grand piano.
The speaker system combines Kawai TwinDrive Soundboard technology with six high-quality Onkyo speakers. The result is a spacious and highly authentic sound image. Through audio connections, USB and MIDI, you can link this digital piano to other equipment, while integrated Bluetooth® allows wireless audio transmission.

The polished black cabinet has the look of a classic piano, with a wide adjustable music rest with artificial leather covering and a slow-close fallboard. Details such as gently curved edges, tapered legs and the upper speaker covering in Kvadrat material give the instrument a modern appearance.
