Ibanez electric guitar with versatile HSS pickup layout
The Ibanez Essentials AZES40PRB Purist Blue is an electric guitar with a combination of two single-coils and one humbucker. That HSS setup gives you different tonal options in one instrument, with Essentials (S) pickups in the neck and middle positions and an Accord (H) bridge pickup, all passive and ceramic.
The guitar comes from the factory in standard E-to-E tuning and is strung with D'Addario® EXL110 strings in .010/.013/.017/.026/.036/.046. This makes the Ibanez a familiar choice for many styles and general playing use.
Construction and playing dimensions of the AZES40PRB
The body is made of poplar, while the AZES Maple neck is paired with a jatoba fretboard with white dot inlay. You play across 22 medium frets, offering a practical balance between accurate fretting and comfortable movement along the neck.
With a 635 mm or 25-inch scale length, a 42 mm nut width and a 250 mmR radius, this electric guitar has dimensions that will feel familiar to many players. The neck measures 20.5 mm at the first fret and 22.5 mm at the twelfth fret, with a width of 56.4 mm at the 22nd fret.
Bridge, string spacing and finish
The body is fitted with a T106 bridge with Comfort round Steel saddles. The 10.5 mm string spacing makes this Ibanez setup directly relevant to your picking-hand technique and overall string layout.
The chrome hardware matches the Purist Blue finish visually. If you want advice on setup or string choice, Magna Music can also help with players on staff and instrument maintenance in the workshop.
