Ibanez electric guitar with fast neck and 24 frets
The Ibanez RGA42FMTGF is an electric guitar for players who value a fast neck and extended playing range. The Wizard III maple neck has a slim profile, with a width of 43 mm at the nut and 58 mm at the 24th fret, while the neck thickness goes from 19 mm at the 1st fret to 21 mm at the 12th fret.
With 24 jumbo frets on a jatoba fretboard and a 400 mmR radius, this Ibanez feels direct and easy to navigate across the full neck. The 648 mm scale, or 25.5 inches, matches the factory tuning E A D G B E and the factory-fitted D'Addario EXL110 strings in gauges .010 to .046.
Construction, pickups and finish of the Ibanez RGA42FMTGF
The body combines a flamed maple top with a Meranti body, finished in Transparant Gray Flat. Off-set white dot inlays give the fretboard a distinctive look, while the black hardware adds a clean, modern appearance.
For amplified sound, Ibanez uses a Quantum humbucker in the neck position and a Quantum humbucker at the bridge, both passive and ceramic. Combined with the fixed F106 bridge and 10.5 mm string spacing, that gives you a direct base for precise playing.
