Construction of the 14 x 5 snare
The shell is built from 6 plies of maple and poplar. Combined with the 30° bearing edge, the Gretsch Silver Sealer inner shell coating and the Gretsch 302 hoops, it creates the character the Brooklyn series is known for. Those 302 hoops are double-flanged 3 mm steel hoops, an important part of this snare drum’s construction.
