Pearl vintage drum kit with a modern foundation
The Pearl President Series Deluxe is a drum kit for drummers who want the look, sound and feel of a classic set, while still choosing a build that is fully made in the present day. This re-issue celebrating Pearl's 75th anniversary brings back original details from the past in an affordable vintage kit without the shortcomings of genuine old sets.
You get a shell set with a 24" x 14" bass drum, 13" x 9" tom and 16" x 16" floor tom including floor tom legs. Stands, snare drum, cymbals and drum throne are not included.
Sound and construction of the President Series Deluxe
The President Series Deluxe is known for warm, deep full tones with a controlled playing feel. Pearl uses 6-ply Lauan shells with a 7.5 mm thickness, a wood type that clearly contributes to the character of this set.
The shells are finished with 2.3 mm Triple-Flanged SuperHoop 2 hoops and BSL-100 and BSL-200 lugs. All batter heads are Remo UT CS Black Dot heads, while the bass drum has a Remo Smooth White Ambassador resonant head with the classic Pearl logo and 75th anniversary logo.
Authentic details and included extras
For the old school look, Pearl kept the kit as faithful as possible to the original series, including the Battleship lug, internal mufflers, Gullwing bass drum legs, the script logo and the classic bass drum logo. The Ripple finish comes from the authentic Delmar USA factory, making this version especially fitting within the re-issue concept.
