Presonus Eris Studio 5 studio monitor for accurate mixing
The Presonus Eris Studio 5 builds on the reputation of earlier Eris models with a richer low end and more controlled high-frequency response. That gives you a natural sound where details in your recordings come through clearly, whether you work in a home studio or a small professional mix room.
The 5.25-inch woven composite low-frequency driver delivers tight, clear bass with plenty of punch, while the 1-inch silk dome tweeter reproduces transients with bite and precision. With a frequency response of 48 Hz to 20 kHz and a peak SPL of 102 dB at 1 meter, this active monitor gives you a lot of usable information for recording and mixing.
EBM waveguide and room tuning
A key part of the Presonus Eris Studio 5 is its 120˚ x 60˚ EBM waveguide. It provides wide 120-degree horizontal dispersion to create a broader sweet spot, while the narrower vertical dispersion helps reduce reflections from your desk. The updated enclosure design supports that performance, helping fine mix details stay audible.
To adapt to different rooms, this studio monitor includes acoustic tuning controls for Acoustic Space, high frequencies, mid frequencies and Low Cut. That lets you tailor the response to your room and setup. At Magna Music, musicians and technicians can help you think through the right studio setup if you want personal advice.
Connections and amplification of the Eris Studio 5
The Presonus Eris Studio 5 uses 80 W dual Class AB amplification and a front-firing acoustic port for strong bass response. Internal bracing is optimized to suppress resonance, and the crossover is set at 3.5 kHz.
On the rear panel you get balanced XLR and 1/4-inch TRS inputs, plus unbalanced RCA inputs. That makes this studio monitor easy to connect to line-level sources such as mixers and audio interfaces. Protection against RF interference, output-current limiting, overheating, transient on/off behavior, a subsonic filter and an energy-saving mode after 40 minutes complete the design.
