With its familiar dreadnought shape, the Martin D-X2E is aimed at players who want a powerful acoustic guitar that can also be amplified straight away. This acoustic-electric dreadnought has a satin-finished spruce top, an abalone-pattern rosette, and HPL back and sides in a Faux Brazillian rosewood look, giving it a classic Martin appearance.

Comfort and electronics in practice
Martin has introduced several playability updates on the D-X2E. The thinner fingerboard with a softly beveled edge, the refined string spacing, and the modernized bridge make playing smoother and more comfortable, even during longer sessions.
For amplified use, this electro-acoustic guitar comes with Martin E-1 electronics, including a built-in chromatic tuner and controls for volume, tone, and phase.
