Gretsch snare drum with classic maple tone
If you want a snare drum that sounds warm in character while delivering bright overtones on the first strike, this Gretsch Full Range Maple Snaredrum is a strong choice. This 14" x 5" maple snare responds sensitively to your playing, so soft ghost notes and solid backbeats both come through clearly.
That makes this Gretsch snare drum suitable for both studio work and stage use. Within the Gretsch range, it is a competitively priced option for drummers looking for a versatile maple snare.
Build and response of the Gretsch Full Range Maple Snaredrum
The shell is made from 10-ply maple, which contributes to strength and resonance. The 30° bearing edges help keep the response direct and controlled, so the snare speaks quickly during dynamic playing.
Gretsch uses familiar details here such as Die-Cast Hoops, double snare lugs and the Silver Sealer interior. Die-Cast Hoops give you more controlled sustain and extra projection, while the interior refines the sound projection. The Gloss Natural finish gives this snare drum a clean, professional look. At Magna Music, you can also get personal advice from musicians in the shop.
Suitable for live and studio
This maple snare drum feels at home in different situations. In the studio, you benefit from the high sensitivity and controlled response, while live the combination of projection and reliability works in your favour.
If you play a lot of dynamic parts, this Gretsch snare offers a practical balance between musicality and immediacy in a common 14" x 5" size.
