Tama steel snare drum 14" x 6.5"
The Tama 8056 Mastercraft Steel Limited Edition Snaredrum is a steel snare drum with a 1.2 mm steel shell and a 14" x 6.5" size. That combination makes this model interesting if you are looking for a steel snare with the classic 14-inch diameter and the extra depth of 6.5 inches.
It comes fitted with a REMO® Ambassador Coated TAMA 50th Anniversary version head. This matches the character of the limited edition model and ties in directly with the overall build of this Tama snare drum.
Build and hardware of the Tama 8056
The Tama 8056 uses Original Superstar Lug (6371N) and die-cast hoops with 10 holes. Those cast hoops give this snare drum a solid, substantial finish and are an important part of its construction.
For snare adjustment, this model uses a Roller Action strainer and butt in versions 6302N, 6303N and 6338N. The 18-strand Carbon Steel Long Snare Wires (6035N) complete the setup.
Practical tone control
A striking detail on this Tama snare drum is the built-in Inside Muffler with One-Touch Tone Control (6552N). This lets you adjust damping quickly to suit the moment.
