Pearl EM1 mallet controller for flexible mallet playing
If you need an electronic mallet controller that adapts to your way of playing, the Pearl EM1 Mallet Station offers plenty of freedom. Its adjustable 3.0-octave range and configurable low-note range function let you set the instrument’s fundamental diatonic note to what you need, such as a low D xylophone.
This mallet controller is designed for a wide range of players and suits use across different genres, from the beginning student to the performing professional. Powered exclusively by USB bus power from Mac, PC, iPad, iPhone and Android devices, it can be used almost anywhere with minimal setup.
Sensitive response and programmable control
The Pearl EM1 was developed in collaboration with Keith McMillen Instruments and uses KMI Smart Fabric Sensor technology. The silicone bar material delivers an extremely sensitive, natural response, including mallet damping and aftertouch control, so your playing is translated directly and accurately.
Using the software editor, you can easily tailor the response to your personal playing style. The master control section gives you 3 programmable faders, 4 programmable buttons, dedicated low-note and octave-shift controls, plus three assignable pedal inputs for sustain, expression or any MIDI parameter you choose.
Portable electronic mallet controller for stage and studio
The ultra-thin, lightweight chassis makes the Pearl EM1 easy to carry. Flexible mounting options give you different ways to use the instrument depending on your setup.
From music apps on a phone or tablet to professional DAWs and sound libraries, this electronic mallet controller fits a wide range of workflows. At Magna Music, you can also count on practical advice from staff who are musicians themselves if you want to see how the EM1 fits into your setup.
