Laskey french horn mouthpiece 70G with European Shank
The Laskey Classic 70G European Shank is a french horn mouthpiece from the well-known G Series, a line widely praised by horn players around the world. Developed by Scott Laskey after years of research and development, this series is built around a strong balance of tonal clarity and tone color.
Within Laskey, the G Series is the standard. The cup is slightly shallower than on other models in the range, making this french horn mouthpiece suitable for different playing styles and a wide range of musical backgrounds.
Rim design, articulation and intonation
What sets the Laskey G Series apart is its specific rim design. The rounded rim with a high point toward the inside gives you effortless flexibility while maintaining control and precision as you play.
In practice, that translates into clear articulation and accurate intonation across the full range of the horn. The mouthpiece cup uses a standard throat size of .182” / 4.62 mm.
European shank and 70G size
This version has a European Shank, also referred to as an EU shank. It was developed for many European-made horns and instruments with a European-style leadpipe.
