Meinl kalimba in C major
The Meinl KA17LV Designer Kalimba Lava is a thumb piano that invites you to start playing right away. This kalimba is pre-tuned to C major, so the notes sound good together even when played in random order. That makes it approachable for all levels, especially if you want to play melodies straight away without much prior knowledge.
The 17 chrome-plated steel tines are engraved with note information, making it easier to find your way around the instrument. You can use this Meinl kalimba to create, relax or meditate, with soft melodies that come naturally.
Construction and resonance of the KA17LV
The sapele wood body gives this thumb piano a warm sound. The sound hole adds resonance to the kalimba, supporting the open character of the notes. Around the sound hole you will find Lava design accents together with an engraved logo.
The tuning runs from d'' to e'' and offers a broad range within the C major scale: d'', b', g', e', c', a, f, d, c, e, g, b, d', f', a', c'', e''.
