Boss Katana 100 Gen 3 guitar amplifier for practice and stage
If you need a guitar amplifier that works well at home and on stage, the Boss Katana 100 Gen 3 offers a lot of flexibility. With 100 watts of power and a single 30 cm (12 inch) speaker, this amplifier delivers powerful, clear sound reproduction, while the POWER CONTROL switch lets you choose between STANDBY, 0.5 W, HALF and MAX.
That makes it easy to match the output level to your playing situation. The compact cabinet size of 470 x 238 x 398 mm and the weight of 11.6 kg also make this Boss amplifier easy to handle for rehearsals, lessons and live use.
Wide sound options and direct control
In the amp section, you get a VARIATION knob and an AMP TYPE switch with six settings: ACOUSTIC, CLEAN, PUSHED, CRUNCH, LEAD and BROWN. With GAIN, VOLUME and the 3-band EQ with BASS, MIDDLE and TREBLE, you can fine-tune the sound to your instrument and playing style.
The effects section is also extensive, with dedicated controls for BOOSTER, MOD, FX, DELAY and REVERB. The TAP button helps you set effect timing quickly, while CH1, CH2 and PANEL keep quick tone settings within easy reach.
Connections, expansion and included items
The Boss Katana 100 Gen 3 features a standard input with a nominal input level of -10 dBu (1 M ohm), an AUX IN at -10 dBu (20 k ohm), a POWER AMP IN, stereo headphones output, CTL CH1/CH2 SOLO jack, EXP PEDAL jack and USB C port. There is also a slot for a Bluetooth® Audio MIDI Dual Adaptor, enabling wireless connectivity with the optional BT-DUAL.
A manual and power cable are included. If you want to expand the amplifier further, it can be paired with optional accessories such as the BOSS FS-5L, FS-6 or FS-7 footswitches, Roland EV-5, BOSS EV-30, BOSS FV-500L, BOSS FV-500H and the BAS-1 amp stand; the store in Roosendaal can also provide focused advice on that.
