Laskey Protégé European Shank tuba mouthpiece
The Laskey Protégé European Shank is a tuba mouthpiece that builds on the well-known Laskey 30H, a model regarded as one of the most popular tuba mouthpieces ever made. For this Protégé version, the rim has been reduced to a “27” inner diameter, creating a 27H that supports embouchure development for beginner and advancing tuba players.
This gives you a mouthpiece that suits players working on control, posture and lip setting. The European Shank version also makes clear which fit you need for your tuba.
Finish and playing comfort
This Laskey tuba mouthpiece is made from 360 free-machining brass and has a two-tone polishing treatment. The rim is polished for comfort and flexibility, while the body has a satin-like feel in the hand.
The copper, silver and bright silver finishing process gives the mouthpiece its silver appearance. If you want advice on the right fit or a mouthpiece that matches your instrument, Magna Music also offers personal advice from musicians in the shop.
