Walrus Audio chorus vibrato pedal with wide modulation range
The Walrus Audio Julia V2 is a fully analog chorus vibrato pedal that lets you move from mild, smooth chorus to pronounced seasick vibrato. That gives you access to classic modulation sounds as well as more unusual textures, without locking you into a single voice.
The controls are Rate, Depth, Lag, D-C-V and Wave-Shape. The Lag control in particular gives the Julia V2 its own character: it sets the central delay time that the LFO modulates, which affects whether the effect feels tighter and smoother or shifts toward a more warbling detune.
More control over chorus and vibrato
With the selectable analog wave shape, you can choose between Sine and Triangle to fine-tune the modulation to your playing. The D-C-V knob lets you blend between dry signal, chorus and vibrato, so you can keep the effect subtle or move toward a more fully modulated sound.
That D-C-V control also makes the Walrus Audio Julia V2 suitable for bass guitar. At Magna Music, musicians comparing effect pedals can also get practical advice from staff who actively work with these kinds of setup choices themselves.
Connections and practical design
The input, output and power connections are mounted on the top, which helps when you want to use pedalboard space efficiently. The Julia V2 runs on 9V DC and draws 30mA.
This Walrus Audio pedal also features soft-switch relay bypassing and smart bypass switching for momentary effect activation. The enclosure measures 121 x 66 x 41 mm, weighs 0.27 kg and is made in Oklahoma, USA.
