Protec trombone case for musicians on the move
If you travel regularly with your instrument, a trombone case needs to stay light while still offering real protection. The Protec C239X from the Explorer series was designed for mobile musicians and combines a slim profile with generous storage capacity, so your trombone and accessories stay organised on the go.
The exterior is made from durable, abrasion-resistant 600D nylon in black. At 1.9 kg, this Protec case remains easy to carry, while strong zippers and multiple carrying options make it practical for lessons, rehearsals and transport.
Protection and storage for your trombone
Inside, 20 mm thick padding helps absorb shocks. Extra protection at the bell section and in the front slide compartment gives more security to vulnerable parts of your trombone during transport. The interior length is 83.8 cm, and the case fits instruments with a maximum bell diameter of Ø 24.1 cm / 9.5".
There is plenty of storage space. The front includes a large compartment for the slide, the back has a separate sheet music pocket measuring 34.3 x 2.5 x 22.9 cm, and inside you get an organiser with a zippered mouthpiece pocket. If you have questions about fit or protection, Magna Music can also help with personal advice from musicians in the shop.
Comfortable carrying in daily use
The Protec C239X can be carried in several ways. You get a padded handle, a subway handle for quick grab-and-go use, and a comfortable shoulder strap. The padded backpack straps can also be stored away neatly when not in use.
With external dimensions of 89 x 30.5 x 30.5 cm and a front pocket of 81.3 x 3.8 x 12.7 cm, this trombone gig bag suits players who want compact transport without giving up protection or practical organisation.
