Hybrid studio microphone with XLR and USB
The Rode NT1 5th Gen Black is a hybrid studio condenser microphone that combines the familiar NT1 sound with modern connection options. Its XLR/USB output makes this studio microphone especially flexible: you can connect it to a mixer or audio interface, or directly to a computer for straight-to-recording use.
The cardioid polar pattern captures mainly sound from the front and helps reduce unwanted room sound in your recordings. With a frequency range of 20 - 20,000 Hz, a sensitivity of 25 mV/Pa and a maximum SPL of 142 dB, the Rode NT1 5th Gen Black covers a wide range of studio applications.
Rode NT1 5th Gen Black in practice
The gold-sputtered 1” capsule and very low self-noise of 4 dBA make this condenser microphone well suited to recordings where detail and a clean signal foundation matter. Through the XLR3-M connection with gold-plated contacts, you can use the microphone in a traditional studio setup with 48V phantom power.
The black-coated aluminium body keeps it solid, while its 190 x 52 mm size and 313 g weight make it easy to handle. The Rode NT1 5th Gen Black includes an SM6 microphone mount with integrated pop filter, a 6 metre XLR cable and a dust bag.
