Martin D-28-GE dreadnought acoustic guitar
The Martin D-28-GE builds on a model that has been a reference point in acoustic guitar making for generations. Its D-14 Fret dreadnought body, Forward-Shifted X-Brace and GE-Scalloped bracing give this acoustic guitar a bold, projecting voice with strong bass, clear trebles and rich overtones.
The solid spruce top works together with solid East Indian rosewood back and sides to produce a resonant, balanced tone across different playing styles. In the updated Martin Standard Series for 2025, the Sitka spruce GE top and bracing draw from the Modern Deluxe Series, resulting in a vintage-inspired tone and sustain.
Playing comfort and finish
The satin neck has a GE Modified Low Oval profile, High-Performance Taper and a 25.4 inch scale length, giving the Martin D-28-GE a smooth and effortless feel. The 1 3/4 inch nut width adds a bit more room for the fretting hand, something many players appreciate for both chord work and more precise playing.
The gloss finish, antique white binding, ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl dot inlays, ebony bridge with bone pins and nickel open gear tuners give this Martin a classic look. There are no onboard electronics, so the guitar stays focused on purely acoustic use. At Magna Music, you can also count on personal advice from musicians in the shop and workshop. Each guitar comes with a hard case.
