DW combines the maple shell in this Design Series snare drum with mini-turret lugs and True-Pitch tuning. In practice, that means more precise tuning movement, so you can dial in the snare more accurately and work in greater detail on tension and response.
The bearing edge on bass drum and snare is cut to 60 degrees and checked for flatness to avoid gaps.
