The Peavey 6505 II 1992 Original Reissue brings back a legendary guitar amp head in a version that stays faithful to the original model. For this reissue, components were carefully recreated, including a specially developed output transformer that captures the crushing character of the original tone. That makes this tube amp head a strong match for guitarists chasing brutal metal riffs, thick hardcore leads and solid rock sounds.
With 120 watts RMS, the Peavey 6505 II delivers serious power for the stage. The combination of five 12AX7 preamp tubes and four 6L6GC power tubes gives you the high gain, definition and reliability this model is known for.
Two channels and focused tone shaping
You can switch between the Rhythm and Lead channels from the front panel or with the included footswitch. The Rhythm channel has pre- and post-gain, plus a bright switch and crunch switch, making it easy to move between a more immediate attack and extra bite. The Lead channel also has its own pre- and post-gain controls for heavier sounds.
The shared 3-band EQ with bass, mid and treble lets you shape the overall sound, while presence and resonance give extra control over the high and low response in the power section. High and Low gain inputs also make this Peavey head more flexible with different guitars and output levels.
Built for practical stage use
This 120W tube head runs at 16, 8 or 4 ohms and is switchable, so you can match it to different speaker cabinets. You also get a switchable post-EQ effects loop and a preamp out, useful if you want to add extra gear to your setup.
