Drum method with colour coding
We gaan Drummen - Gele Stok is a drum method by Leon van der Geest that approaches learning drums in a simple way. The LeonDrums Method uses coloured levels, and those same colours return in the drumsticks and in the notation, so you can see more quickly which part of the drum kit is meant.
With the yellow colour, Tom 1 is central. Colours are used on the staff to mark parts of the drum kit, making instructions clearer and the learning process easier to follow. That makes this drum method a good fit for players who are just starting out.
Developed from drum teaching practice
This method was created by drum teacher Léon van der Geest in 1999 and further developed over the years. The level structure runs from White, Yellow, Green, Blue, Orange, Red, Purple, Pink to Black, each with drumsticks in the same colour.
This gives you a visual way of learning that works well in lessons and for practising on your own. If you are looking for a drum book or method that explains basic skills step by step in a clear way, this edition is a practical choice. At Magna Music, you can also get personal advice from staff who are musicians themselves.
