Build and sound of this Bb clarinet
Backun makes the Q Series from carefully selected grenadilla wood. That gives this wooden clarinet a warm, rich sound that suits players who want to bring plenty of nuance out of their instrument.
The silver-plated keywork is made with a focus on precision and durability. Together with the custom Backun barrel and bell, that brings improved projection and intonation, helping you come through clearly and play with control in different musical situations.
Comfort during long playing sessions
In longer rehearsals, performances, or audition practice, you notice the benefit of the ergonomic design. The Backun Q Series Bb feels comfortable in the hands and supports a relaxed playing position during extended sessions.
This clarinet is handmade in Canada with close attention to detail. That craftsmanship matches the professional character of an instrument intended for players seeking refined control and consistent performance.
