Martin dreadnought acoustic guitar with stage-ready electronics
Developed in collaboration with Billy Strings, the Martin D-X2E Billy Strings combines Martin’s familiar dreadnought volume with a modern, immediately comfortable playing feel. This acoustic guitar pairs a solid Sitka spruce top with HPL back and sides in a Brazilian rosewood pattern, which the supplied information links to a rich, warm tone and strong stability.
The built-in Martin E1 electronics with tuner make this dreadnought ready for stage or studio use right away. If you are looking for an acoustic-electric guitar that works both unplugged and amplified, this signature model fits that role well.
Construction and playing comfort of the Martin D-X2E Billy Strings
The 14-fret dreadnought body works together with scalloped X-bracing, a construction in which the braces are shaped lighter for a freer top response. With a 25" scale length, a 1 23/32" bone nut, and a 2 5/32" string spacing, you get the dimensions Martin chose for this model.
It also features a select hardwood neck with a Modified Low Oval neck profile, an ebony fingerboard, and an ebony bridge. The open-gear nickel tuners, satin finish with hand-polished top, Natural color, and Diamond & Square inlays in faux abalone give the Martin D-X2E Billy Strings a clearly defined look of its own.
Ready to take along and set up
The Martin D-X2E Billy Strings comes with Martin Acoustic Lifespan 2.0 strings and a hemp-material softshell gigbag. That makes it a good choice for players looking for a dreadnought acoustic guitar that is easy to bring to lessons, rehearsals, or gigs.
At Magna Music, you can also get personal advice from musicians and setup service in the in-house workshop, which is useful if you want your new Martin guitar checked for your playing style.
