Electro-acoustic guitar with a comfortable orchestra shape
The Fender California Standard Monterey™ E is an electro-acoustic guitar with a mid-sized orchestra body that feels comfortable and suits students and solo players well. Its 25.5 inch scale length, 20 frets and nut width of about 42.9 mm give you a familiar foundation for chords and melodic playing.
The slim “C” okoume neck and walnut fingerboard with a 12 inch radius make the Monterey™ E comfortable to play. That is useful during longer practice sessions at home, and also when you take the guitar to lessons, rehearsals or a performance.
Fender California Standard Monterey™ E with built-in electronics
What makes this acoustic guitar especially practical is the onboard Fender electronics with volume, tone and an integrated digital tuner. You can play amplified and check your tuning directly on the instrument, while the low-battery indicator shows when it is time to replace the battery.
The Monterey™ E uses laminated construction with a laminated Sitka spruce top or laminated sapele top, depending on the version, combined with laminated sapele back and sides. The gloss polyurethane finish, Dual Ring rosette, Modern Viking bridge and sealed die-cast tuners complete the instrument. At Magna Music, you can also get personal advice from musicians when you are looking for a suitable electro-acoustic guitar.
Construction and finish in Natural
This Fender California Standard Monterey™ E comes in a natural finish. Depending on the version, details include black or ivory binding and a 1-ply black or ivory pickguard.
From the factory, this steel-string acoustic guitar is fitted with .011-.052 phosphor bronze strings. That makes it ready for acoustic playing and amplified use in a compact, comfortable Fender design.
