The Shure SM7dB builds on the familiar SM7 sound and adds a built-in preamp for extra convenience. This dynamic XLR microphone delivers up to +28 dB of flat, transparent, low-noise gain, helping you get a usable vocal signal faster for podcasting, streaming, voice-over and music.
You can switch the added preamp gain to +18 dB or +28 dB depending on your setup. If you prefer to work without active gain, the bypass switch disables the preamp and gives you the original SM7B signal.
