The Kawai CX-202 Black is a digital piano for home use that closely approaches the feel of an acoustic piano. Its Responsive Hammer Compact II keyboard action with 88 weighted keys, triple sensor system and matte key surfaces gives you a natural response, while the different touch curves let you tailor the keyboard to your playing style.
The pedal section supports that realistic experience as well. The Grand Feel pedal system offers damper control with half-pedal, plus sostenuto and soft pedal, so beginner and developing pianists can build technique and control in a familiar way.

For its sound, the Kawai CX-202 uses Harmonic Imaging™ with 88-key sampling, with the Shigeru Kawai SK-EX concert grand as its main voice. This gives you rich, dynamic piano tones, alongside a total of 17 sounds including electric pianos, organs, strings and harpsichord. With up to 192-note polyphony, different reverb types and playing modes such as Dual, Split and Four Hands, there is plenty of room for practice and variety.
The built-in metronome, recorder and lesson functions make this Kawai especially practical for daily study. You can record up to 3 songs on 1 track with a maximum of 10,000 notes, and work with classical etudes and methods by Burgmüller, Czerny, Beyer and Alfred, alongside demo songs and Concert Magic pieces.
Connections and design of the Kawai CX-202 Black
The 40 W stereo system delivers sound through 2 × 20 W speakers, and Spatial Headphone Sound makes headphone playing more pleasant too. Two headphone outputs make it easy to practice with different plugs, namely mini stereo and 6.3 mm stereo. You can also stream music through the speakers via Bluetooth® Audio, and connect to other devices through Bluetooth® MIDI, USB-MIDI and USB-to-Host.
The cabinet of the Kawai CX-202 has a simple, elegant design that fits well into a home interior, finished in matte black. Its folding music rest, sliding key cover and dimensions of approx. 85.5 × 136 × 40.5 cm make it a suitable fixed digital piano for the home.
