Digital drum kit with a realistic layout
If you want a digital drum kit that feels close to an acoustic setup in both layout and response, the Medeli MZ725 is a strong choice. This electronic drum kit has full mesh heads, an 8 inch kick pad, a 10 inch dual-zone snare, two 8 inch toms and two 10 inch floor toms, all with dual-zone triggering where specified.
The setup is completed by a 12 inch dual-zone hi-hat on a real hi-hat stand, two 12 inch dual-zone crash cymbals with choke and a 14 inch 3-zone ride with choke. That gives you an extensive drum set for home, studio or stage use, with a playing layout that suits both beginners and advanced drummers.
Medeli MZ725 module for practice, recording and live use
The module gives you 54 preset kits and 45 user kits, backed by 699 sounds, 19 hi-hats and 128-note polyphony. You can load user samples up to 15 MB, record in MIDI and audio, and play back WAV and MP3 audio. For practice, there are 100 preset songs, 10 user songs, coach functions such as Quiet Count, Beat Check and Change Up, plus a metronome with adjustable click voice, volume, time signature and interval settings from 30 to 280 BPM.
Control stays clear through the 3 inch LCD display, 6 sliders and 4 rotary knobs. You can also fine-tune trigger settings including gain, threshold, head/rim response, crosstick level, curve, crosstalk, retrigger level, splash gain and hi-hat close point.
