Construction and innovations of the Backun MoBa Grenadilla
Backun developed the MoBa in close collaboration with Ricardo Morales. An important technical detail is the Automatic Low F Vent, which noticeably improves the intonation and tone quality of low F.
Between the upper and lower joints is a carbon fiber middle joint. This reinforcement helps prevent cracks and supports free vibration transfer through the instrument. The silver-plated keywork feels smooth and reliable under the fingers, which is welcome during intensive rehearsals, auditions and concerts.
Supplied with barrels, bell and case
This Backun MoBa comes with two MoBa barrels in 65 mm and 66 mm, giving you more flexibility to fine-tune intonation in different conditions. The clarinet also includes the characteristic MoBa bell, which adds extra foundation to the low register.
