Fender Stratocaster for versatile electric guitar playing
The Fender American Professional II Stratocaster is a professional electric guitar that combines classic Stratocaster elements with modern refinements in playing comfort, response and tonal flexibility. With its SSS setup, three V-Mod II Single-Coil Stratocaster pickups and 5-way blade switch, you get a wide range of usable sounds for blues, rock, funk and pop.
The added push-push tone switch activates extra pickup options in certain positions. That gives this Fender Stratocaster even more variation without making the controls complicated.
Construction and playing feel of the American Professional II Stratocaster
The alder body uses the familiar Classic Stratocaster® shape and a gloss urethane finish in Dark Night. The maple neck has a Deep “C” profile and a “Super-Natural” satin urethane finish on the back, which feels comfortable during longer playing sessions, while the gloss headstock keeps the well-known Fender look.
The rosewood fingerboard has a 9.5 inch radius, 22 narrow tall frets and a 25.5 inch scale length. In practice, that gives you a modern yet familiar foundation for players who want smooth movement across the neck and control for chords and lead work. At Magna Music, you can also get personal advice from musicians in the shop and workshop.
Hardware and finish
The 2-Point synchronized tremolo with curved steel saddles and a cold-rolled steel block matches the modern character of this model. Fender Standard Cast/Sealed Staggered tuners, a bone nut and Fender-USA 250L Nickel Plated Steel strings in .009–.042 complete the specifications.
The nickel/chrome hardware, 3-ply black pickguard, black knobs and white position markers work perfectly with the Dark Night finish. The result is a Fender American Professional II Stratocaster that is clearly aimed at serious players in both looks and operation.
