The Zildjian K Custom Hybrid Pack is a professional cymbal pack for drummers who want broad versatility. This cymbal set combines the dark, warm sound of the K series with extra projection and clarity for modern music styles, developed in collaboration with Akira Jimbo.
The pack includes 14 1/4" K Custom Hybrid HiHats, a 16" and 18" K Custom Hybrid Crash, and a 20" K Custom Hybrid Ride. That gives you a complete setup right away for live use and studio work.
Sound of the K Custom Hybrid Pack
The Hybrid series pairs a traditionally finished outer edge with a brilliantly polished center area. This gives the cymbal pack dark, warm undertones, bright attack, clear stick definition, and fast response, with powerful projection without sounding harsh.
The 14 1/4" hi-hats deliver a tight, controlled chick with enough body. The 16" and 18" crashes open quickly and keep a full, musical sustain, while the 20" ride offers a balanced mix of clear ping, warm wash, and a bell that cuts through well.
B20 bronze for live and studio
As you would expect from Zildjian, the K Custom Hybrid Pack is made from B20 bronze, with 80% copper and 20% tin, and is hand hammered. The combination of traditional and brilliant finish shapes both the visual character and the recognizable sound of this set.
This cymbal pack works well for pop, rock, fusion, gospel, electronic live sets, and studio recording. Its wide dynamic range keeps the sound controlled at low volume and powerful when you play harder.
