The Tama S.L.P. G-Maple KMB is a 14"x 6" snare drum built around a thick 11 mm maple shell with 12 plies of maple and a Mappa Burl outer ply. That construction gives this maple snare a clear tone with surprising volume and sensitivity, so it responds well to strong accents as well as subtle strokes.
The 2.3 mm steel Mighty Hoop hoops have a 10-hole design and work together with separate low-mass lugs, allowing the shell to resonate freely. You hear that back in a powerful, punchy sound that fits a wide range of playing styles.

In terms of appearance, this Tama snare drum stands out right away with its Kona Mappa Burl finish. The Mappa Burl outer ply gives the model a stylish, striking look, while the Black Nickel hardware adds a sleek and refined touch.
