J-style electric bass guitar with broad versatility
If you want an electric bass guitar that covers a lot of ground, the Jet JJB-300 GD-R is a strong option. This 4-string J-style bass is known for its versatility, fast playability and clear, defined tone, making it a good match for funk, jazz, pop and rock.
The roasted poplar body and roasted maple neck give this Jet bass a stable construction and a balanced voice with tight lows and sparkling highs. The Gold finish with red tortoise pickguard gives the JJB-300 GD-R a classic look with a striking accent.
Tone control and playing comfort of the Jet JJB-300 GD-R
Two JB-style single-coil pickups deliver a wide range of sounds, from warm and round to bright and punchy. With two volume controls you can blend the pickups precisely, while the tone knob gives extra control over the tonal colour.
The Canadian roasted maple neck has a Modern C profile, which together with the 12 inch radius gives a smooth playing feel. The 34 inch scale, 20 frets and 1.625 inch nut width make this electric bass guitar accessible to both beginner and advanced bassists. In Magna Music’s workshop, an instrument like this can also be professionally set up if you want it adjusted to your preference.
Construction and hardware
The rosewood fingerboard, bone / polymer fibre nut and double action truss rod match the stable character of this model. For the hardware, Jet chose a 2-point bridge with 4 saddles, vintage-style tuners and chrome finish.
The JJB-300 GD-R comes factory-strung with D’Addario strings, so you can start right away with a familiar setup on a bass guitar that responds quickly and offers plenty of tonal variation.
