If you want a reverb pedal that sounds good quickly while still offering plenty of flexibility, the Boss RV-6 is a strong option. This compact guitar reverb combines refined studio-quality sounds with straightforward control, letting you move from subtle room ambience to long, lush reverb with ease.
The RV-6 uses new BOSS algorithms and delivers a rich, wide sound. You can choose from eight modes: Room, Hall, Plate, Spring, Modulate, Dynamic, Shimmer, and +Delay. That makes this Boss reverb pedal suitable for both core sounds and modern spacious textures.
Eight reverb modes and fast control
Room gives you warm room reverb, Hall sounds clear and spacious, and Plate adds a metallic reverb character with extended highs. Spring recreates the familiar spring reverb built into a guitar amp, while Modulate adds modulation to a hall reverb for a pleasing spacious effect.
For more contemporary sounds, the Boss RV-6 also includes Shimmer, Dynamic, and +Delay. Shimmer adds sparkling highs and spacious overtones, Dynamic automatically adjusts effect depth to your playing dynamics, and +Delay combines delay and reverb into a rich ambient sound. With the mode selector and the Time and Tone controls, the pedal is quick to dial in, while multiple internal parameters shift automatically for a musical result.
Fits mono or stereo setups
Although the reverb effects are generated digitally, your direct guitar tone remains purely analog when blended with the effect. That is useful if you want to keep the immediacy of your base tone while adding depth and space.
The Boss RV-6 works in mono and stereo, and can also be used in mono-to-stereo or stereo-to-stereo setups. If you use only the B input, the pedal outputs a 100% wet signal, which is handy in parallel signal chains and mixer setups.
