Yamaha HS5 studio monitor for studio work and home recording
The Yamaha HS5 is an active studio monitor with a 5 inch woofer rated at 45 watts and a 1 inch tweeter rated at 25 watts. Together they deliver 70 watts of bi-amp power, with low and high frequencies driven separately. In practice, that gives you a controlled response for mixing, producing and critical listening in a compact setup.
The bass reflex system supports the low end, while the 54 Hz to 30 kHz frequency range lets you hear detail across a wide spectrum. With dimensions of 170 x 285 x 222 mm and a weight of 5.3 kg, this Yamaha monitor fits easily into a home studio, edit room or smaller production setup.
Connections and adjustment on the Yamaha HS5
You can connect the Yamaha HS5 through a balanced XLR input or a balanced 6.3 mm jack input. Balanced connections help reduce signal interference, which is useful when working with audio interfaces, mixers and other studio equipment.
