Cardioid condenser microphone with classic studio sound
The SE Electronics sE2200 is a large-diaphragm condenser microphone known for its smooth, polished tone on vocals, voice-overs and a wide range of instrumental sources. This cardioid studio microphone builds on the design that established sE Electronics and keeps the character of the original, with an even, well-balanced frequency response and exceptionally low noise.
For recording vocals, spoken voice, acoustic instruments or drums, the sE2200 delivers a flattering and clear response. Its handmade externally polarized large-diaphragm capsule, shielded custom transformer and Class-A circuitry without ICs form the basis of that recognizable studio sound.
Built for versatile studio use
Although the SE Electronics sE2200 is cardioid only, the capsule uses two gold-sputtered diaphragms for strong acoustic performance. Each capsule is handmade and individually tuned, while the optimized signal path and modern components contribute to greater clarity, consistent performance and high sensitivity.
Two switchable attenuation pads extend the dynamic range and help the microphone handle high sound pressure levels more effectively. In addition, two switchable low-cut filters reduce rumble, footfall noise and excessive bass caused by proximity effect, making this condenser microphone more useful across different recording situations.
SE Electronics sE2200 supplied complete
The sE2200 comes with the SE Electronics Isolation Pack. It includes a custom shockmount, an integrated metal pop filter and a thread adapter that fits any microphone stand.
